Description:
Weaving width: 36"
This loom is currently not set up and I don’t have an exact footprint
It will be in the neighborhood of 65” high, 54” wide
The length will depend a bit on how far you pull out the treadles, but a very rough estimate might be around 6 feet.
The loom was handmade for the original owner by a family member, and it seems to be more or less similar to the El Rito design
I used it for tapestry for 6 years or so until getting my current big loom
Like all walking looms of this sort, it has some quirks, but it worked well for me for blanket-weight tapestry and small rag rugs
If a weaver wanted to make heavy tapestry rugs, the beater would need to be rebuilt in heavier wood
4-shaft walking looms are not as common as 2-shaft, and the extra shafts allow you to weave jerga
This loom comes with a warping board
Price:
$975
I can help with set-up and initial warping if desired
I will consider trades or partial trades as well
I would also rent this loom if used exclusively in the Martinez Hacienda
